the last ofThe demo and the beginning of the putting back together, kinda like Humpty's egg

So this past week i think has been harder then the last, well maybe physically. over the weekend my parents bought tile, so this week we have had to make 2 trips up to the store (45 min, away driving the trailer:), and then unload each pallet which weighed about 2-3,000 pounds. we also had to make 2 trips to Lowe's to get Sheetrock which is also very heavy and awkward bulky. Almost all this lifting fell on Josh and I and also with the help of my mom-she is such a go-getter sometimes i can't keep up!
At least the electrician was able to start and finish with fixing all the crazy wiring so the house won't burn down. The plumber is making good progress despite some major hiccups along the way. Our cabinets are all in thanks to a wonderful brother that came all the way down from back home in New Hampshire. Thanks again Danny-I can't wait to get into my new kitchen and start cooking, and next time your down i'll have you guys over for dinner.

Tomorrow we work on finishing stripping the flooring, just the dining room and kitchen left. Also we need to Sheetrock, mud & tape in a few rooms like our master bed & bath.
Once the Sheetrock is in we only have the tile to install and then we can move in. i told them as long as i have a bathroom, bedroom and kitchen i'm good and the rest we can finish bit by bit.

So enjoy the pictures and hope to hear from you all soon! Miss you all!

laundry room down to its bones

plumbers got a start on demoing the guest bath which we were going to wait on touching, but it turns out that  because laundry is to the left of this room and kitchen is to the right, they were running into some concrete walls-literally.

our bedrooms stripped to it's bones and it's much brighter now, also our bathroom too

the guest bath - our friend jon was given the go ahead from my dad so he went to town. his final words, "remember your dad told me i could".

needless to say he had fun

jon found a hole around the drain for the shower but dad made it a bit bigger. you never know what you get into till you open it up.

what we found under the hole and the entire house. it turns out that the house started as a concrete block wall around edges with a few pillars in the middle and then they took a poured slab and stuck it on top then built the house on top of that-not a typically Floridian built home.

the last of the paneling josh found, it is the second layer in the hallway. we actually kinda like it but there isnt much left of it, so look out it may end up as a piece of art somewhere in the house later:)

the drain was fixed and the hole was filled

our cabinets and counter tops are in!

the cabinets will be red and walls are up for discussion-we want to do a 1950's style red, white and black kitchen

they moved the window in our bathroom since we are moving the vanity . so below the window will be the toilet and the vanity will be on the right side of it same wall.

our living room a bit cleaned up, with us stripping the floor-not an easy task.

Sorry for not posting pictures of our car either but we just got it back from having some work done on it, so i will save it for next post along with the pictures from this weekend.
